So okay, for the 2nd time London was thrown into chaos. Though not as bad this time, it was still a bit eerie. Not sure what went down to be honest, I was sleeping, as seems to be my way. cut from The Age Two arrests have been made in connection with a second apparent terrorist attack in a fortnight in London, police said. Bombers targeted three Underground trains and a bus, mirroring the events of July 7 when at least 56 people died. One man was arrested near Downing Street, the site of Prime Minister Tony Blair’s residence, and the other near Tottenham Court Road, close to the Warren Street Underground station where one of the incidents took place. With their weapons drawn, police escorted a man away from the gates at the end of Downing Street as Blair prepared to make a statement at his residence. A police officer near the end of the street drew a firearm and aimed it at a target beyond the range of television cameras. Officers then confronted the man about 20 metres from the front gate of the residence, according to a BBC reporter at the scene. They searched him as he lay face down on the ground with his arms and legs spread out. This time the three blasts reported by witnesses were far less serious, with police reporting just one injury, although the British capital’s transport system was again plunged into chaos.
