marriage

One of my close friends, Zoe, is getting married in October (in the UK). I so wish I could just pop over to attend her wedding. One of my other friends, Steph, got married last weekend and I had to miss that one too 😦

Tickets are around $1500 – $2000 return, of course me being a dirt poor student I can’t even afford $50 dammit. I’m so desperate to go, but alas unless I organise a fundraiser or something it’s just not going to happen *le sigh*.

Sometimes, no, a lot of the time, it’s so frustrating having no money, living pay to pay, sometimes having to sacrifice my social life or, if things get really bad, my food. I’ve started dreaming of the day when I will be earning ‘normal’ money and I may be able to buy clothes for myself or even go on holidays. It’s a long way off yet, but maybe I’ll get there one day. Until then I’m going to have to dream a lot.

Speaking of dreams, I had one last night that I was the last person in my whole high school year that hadn’t had a baby!! LOL! This is probably almost true, having gone to a high school out in the suburbs, most people I know in my graduating year have been married and had kids for some time. While this has not been my goal in life, it must still play on my subconscious. Pfffft.
