the happy & the sad

I went out for dinner last night with my Dad, my sister, my “little brother” and his girlfriend.  My sister left to go live in South Africa today, so we were having our final meal and catch up together.  She came over earlier in the arvo and we did a bit of shopping then snoozed in my bed together.  When Dad arrived we were sat in bed watching Neighbours, ha ha ha!  It was a lovely night and I am very sad to have her move so far away from me.  But I hope she has a marvellous time with her partner & who knows, maybe I’ll visit some day.
Tonight I went to Comedy Bites @ Fed Square.  I won the tickets from 774 Melbourne last week some time.  I think I entered the competition in my sleep as I barely remember doing it, let alone hearing about it… but I won tickets so me and the flatmate trundled along tonight for an evening full of laughs.  It was a brilliant night and my face ached from smiling by the end of the night and I now have more comedians on my list to go see at the Comedy Festival.  I’ve already got tickets to see Julian Clary, so I’d better get organised to get me some more.
Speaking of getting organised, I’ve still not got around to getting a car yet, if I have the energy I might go up to Toyota tomorrow and demand a car!  I need to kick myself into gear (hah pardon the pun) and do it as the sales end on 31 March.
I’m booked in for my MRI and follow up surgeons appointment, the long slow wait continues.  Even if I do have gallstones, which I’m not that bothered about, there’s still the small (or rather large) issue of having a liver tumour.  Anyway, my health is boring!

  1. Julian Clary! Now there is a blast from the past.

  2. I loves me some Julian Clary, give us a blow-by-blow enactment of his performance (pun intended) 😉
