the ball is rolling (again)

A tiny bit anyway…
After a client assessment on Friday I looked at my phone and I saw I had a missed call from an unknown number, with a voicemail left. I normally forget I even have a phone during the day, so it was odd for me to check. So as my team leader and I walked back to the car I listened to the message.  It was from a lady at St Vincent’s Hospital telling me they had booked me in for an appointment next Friday.  I did a little dance down the cobblestones, I felt rather pleased.
So I get to see the specialist before Christmas.  Don’t get too excited however, last time I saw the specialist (not saying it will be the same one) I cried and wanted to kill the specialist due to her seemingly complete lack of empathy.  I guess this time I will have experience and history on my side, I ain’t taking no shit from no one! Hah!
I had reasonable week, though I am jolly well tired. I can’t wait for the hols. I only get 10 days off, but heck, it’s 10 days more than I’ve had in the last long while. I may just spend it sleeping and eating. Oh and going to the gym.  I’ve been going 3 months now and let me tell you, I see no difference. I eat well, I go to the gym at least 2 – 3 times a week and nothing. But last time I had a tumour in my liver I had the same feeling, I’m sure it affects my hormones and blood sugar levels (I’ve been tested for diabetes and I don’t have it). Regardless, I shall continue, because I want to be as fit as I can be if and when I have surgery again.
Blah blah. I’m rambling.
It’s raining outside and it’s quite peaceful. I shall leave you with my usual kitty spam and pointless pictorials.

  1. Probably be a different specialist, we hope. Small strawberries are much better. Large ones look great and are probably very saleable, but the small ones taste much better. Your pet tiger looks fighting fit.

  2. I have found this season, the strawberries have been very woody.I need to go for a drive to our nearby strawberry farm, and pick some freshies. Mmmmm.Wishing you much luck with this specialist. Here's hoping someone actually has a heart. x

  3. Yay for the appointment Fen! You must be quite fit from the gym, even if you can't notice any change physically etc. Does it make you feel good? I miss my gym days.
