Sunday Lethargy

Going out and having late nights just makes me ever so sleepy now. I even had an afternoon nap.  Old age huh!

Things have been good though I’m in denial that it’s February already. Gosh.

I had my appraisal at work a couple of weeks back and was blushing at the praise I received.  I’m going to be trained up to be a team leader at some stage this year. My first course starts on my birthday ha ha ha! Bugger. So I won’t get to take the day off. I think I might go up to Sydney the week before and have a little holiday with Lauren again. She’ll have had the baby by then and will be over the newborn bit.

Speaking of babies, my sister is almost due. I can barely wait. She looks amazing and healthy and I’m super proud of her.  Last Sunday I spent at my Aunt & Uncle’s place in Coburg as it was my cousin’s 13th birthday.  I hung out with Xavier, my other cousin’s son, he’s nearly 2.  Kids have always been drawn to me, I think it’s because I am a big kid myself.

The weather has been weird this week. I want summer back please. Summer has been weird full stop. Gone are the days, or weeks, of low to mid 30’s. Instead we’re getting stinking hot days then low to mid 20’s weather. I don’t like it. One bit!

Thursday – I couldn’t see in front of me!

I went on a road trip on the Australia Day holiday, with Harvey. We drove up around Healesville, Kinglake, Toolangi and then to the Maroondah Dam. It was a gorgeous day and we enjoyed driving about, seeing the sights. It’s something I think I should do more of, but never seem to get around to doing.

This weekend I went to see Hair – the musical at Chapel off Chapel, as part of the Midsumma Festival. It was a fabulous production. We arrived a little late and there were no seats left. We were given some reserved seating in the front row and were pretty much part of the show all night. We were fondled and groped and my leg was even humped! I’m proper pregged up now! We got up on stage and danced with them at the end, I had a blast. It’s a real shame the sound let the cast down in a big way. Some of the dialogue was too quiet then during the second half there was some mad feedback issues. I hope they sort that out for future shows.

Afterwards I went to Requiem (a Goth night) specifically to see Jess and Cleave perform (the performers from NYE’s Trash Masque). Those two are just divine and I had a chat with them afterwards and they were both lovely.

  1. Summer is going well, with coolish weather and not too many killer hot days. 😛 So, you will be an aunt for the first time? I think all but the ground floor of ‘The Big Store’ are closed as they are unsafe. Straight, gay, whatever, I find goths sexy.

    • I just want hot days, not killer ones! I’d love to see inside the Big Store, what a waste huh. Love & Lewis is the same. There were a lot of sexy goths I have to admit, boys and girls alike.

  2. I don’t know wtf is up with WordPress lately, but it’s a real pain in the ass to load. I had to click three times just to get this page to load… not just your blog, either.
Anyhoo…. I ‘aint complaining with the cooler Summer!
As far as I’m concerned, it can stay like this! 🙂
    Love all your photos.
Congrats on the work side of things!

  3. Hey that’s Prahran carpark! Boy that photo is eerie. My daddy bought me a cowboy suit at the old Reads, cnr of Malvern and Chapel, known as Reads Corner for miles around. Mango Raspberry Cider, I’d have a go at that.

    • sure is RH. Someone was telling me about that shop a little while ago. It’s a shame when heritage stuff goes to waste. The cider was delish, the berries one is also very good.

  4. Babies, being humped and blokes with their tongues out. Be careful! 🙂

  5. Ooh, I was in that ugly storm the same time as you! It’s the first time while driving that I’ve wanted nothing more than to pull over (but I was in the centre lane of East Link and couldn’t see to the sides).

I like that pear cider and haven’t tried the mango-raspberry. Nice?
